Anonymous - you are right - everything is better and better these days. (including this blog)

Been keeping this blog as an series of observations of Canadian Tyre product # 71-1556 in the process of an experiment to prove a thesis that even an inexpensive bicycle can serve utilitarian functions reliably (assuming care and maintenance is undertaken).

Lately there are no interesting observations to report other than perishable parts such as the chain and brake shoes are having their wear accelerated in the slush.

Other things in life that are occupying time instead of keeping up with this blog are:

* Work (is a four letter word)
* Perry Bax: http://www.bestradioyouhaveneverheard.com/ playing in the background
* Ted Harper: 'Six Days of Madness', Pacesetter Press 1993
* Acquiring certification to work on Salomon, Atomic, Nordica, Elan, Rossignol, Tyrolia and Marker alpine ski bindings
* Patricia: http://www.pattycake.ca/
* ebay, ebay, ebay!
* Putting together a wheelset - CCM Delta/ 1937 hubs, chrome westwood rims, stainless spokes
* Watching the Juncos and House Sparrows at the feeder in the yard
* Rest and general loafing - favourite movies so far: Julie and Julia, Taking Woodstock, The Proposal (it's kind of like spending winter hibernating in a cave)
