Anonymous - you are right - everything is better and better these days. (including this blog)

Been keeping this blog as an series of observations of Canadian Tyre product # 71-1556 in the process of an experiment to prove a thesis that even an inexpensive bicycle can serve utilitarian functions reliably (assuming care and maintenance is undertaken).

Lately there are no interesting observations to report other than perishable parts such as the chain and brake shoes are having their wear accelerated in the slush.

Other things in life that are occupying time instead of keeping up with this blog are:

* Work (is a four letter word)
* Perry Bax: http://www.bestradioyouhaveneverheard.com/ playing in the background
* Ted Harper: 'Six Days of Madness', Pacesetter Press 1993
* Acquiring certification to work on Salomon, Atomic, Nordica, Elan, Rossignol, Tyrolia and Marker alpine ski bindings
* Patricia: http://www.pattycake.ca/
* ebay, ebay, ebay!
* Putting together a wheelset - CCM Delta/ 1937 hubs, chrome westwood rims, stainless spokes
* Watching the Juncos and House Sparrows at the feeder in the yard
* Rest and general loafing - favourite movies so far: Julie and Julia, Taking Woodstock, The Proposal (it's kind of like spending winter hibernating in a cave)

hope there's happiness in exploring those links and wishing all kind souls a wildly happy, joyous and healthy new year!

now off to bake some birthday cookies for a truly dear ten year old....

    I am the sort of guy who passions to try original things. Presently I'm fabricating my personal pv panels. I'm managing it all alone without the assistance of my men. I'm using the net as the only way to acheive this. I encountered a very amazing website that explains how to contruct pv panels and so on. The internet site explains all the steps required to solar panel construction.

    I'm not exactly sure bout how accurate the data given there is. If some guys over here who have xp with these works can have a see and give your feedback in the site it would be great and I'd highly value it, cause I truly like solar panel construction.

    Tnx for reading this. U people are the best.

    Hello Mr Maple Leaf.

    It's good to see that everything is still working so well for you. As you know I stopped logging my rides at 10,000km but I'm still using Aaargh! as my daily commuter. I'm probably somewhere up around 13-14,000km by now. Still breaking rear spokes every couple of months too - I really should have redone the whole wheel 2 years ago. :-)

    Salomon ski bindings eh? You'd be a useful fellow to know, if only you lived a bit closer! (I bought some ex-rental Salomon Crossmax V12 skis last season).

    I'm seeking help for the kids of Haiti.

    I'm doing this for a non-profit organization in which the main focus is to
    building oppurtunities for the children in haiti. If anyone here wants to donate then this is the place:

    Donate to Haiti or Help Haiti

    They provide kids in Haiti books and teach them.

    Please check them out, they are legitimate.
