Figured out there are these screwy thing attached to the brake actuators that dial in the adjustment such as to be able to come to a stop ever relatively shorter distances. The shoes are quite worn, however there is still life left in them before purchasing new ones.

The rear mech is not functioning with quick response as it used to. The is a ten second lag between shifting the shifter and response from the drivetrain.

The bottom bracket spindle is also showing play and making a grinding noise, even in dry weather.

Haven't inflated the tyres in some time, yet they are still holding air!

The resiliency of the machine is astounding.
