About eight weeks ago, noted that the left thumb shifter snapped whilst upshifting in -22C weather. It has been stuck in the largest chainring since.

Now the right thumb shifter has vibrated loose from it's mounting post leaving it dangling on a wire on the handle bars. It is now impossible to change gears.

Fortunately, both parts have been ordered and will be installed as soon as possible.

Also, the was some vandalism that occured on April 24 between 1900H and 2000H. The rubber shim that fastened the speedo/odometer mounting base has gone missing. Fortunately the instrumentation is still working perfectly
, although it (like the thumbshifter) is dangling from a wire on the handlebar.

Sometime in the last 7 days, the right shifter has become wobbly on it's mount. It will need replacing. Not changing gears due to risk of damage if used.

Air pressure is getting quite low, still rolls adequately.

Mileage this year seems to be about the same as last year.

Rig running right, not many observations to report.

Ordered shifter has arrived, will be installed on next available service interval.

Tyres have gone down to approximately 30PSI, will need inflation in next 30 days.

Rig rides well, not many observations to report.

Applied a coat of SAE 20wt oil to the chain last week after riding in wet weather. Good news - it is quiet now; bad news - holds grit on chain, appears very dirty.

There is noise coming from front wheel, sounds like 'whhs - wssh' that is evident as long as wheel is rolling. Probably fender stay got bent at lockup and is rubbing on tyre.
