km 2477.2

Warning: this blog entry contains dirty pictures. It may be difficult to even look at the following photographs.

It can plainly be seen from the photo of the freewheel that there are certain favourite ratios. It is also evident of the elongation of the chain when observing the light coming through between the large chainring and chain. This means that much of the drivetrain is overdue to be replaced. This resilient machine yet still somehow keeps on trucking.

Also, the tyres are a high light. They have not been puntured yet (knock on wood), seldom require inflation and have much life remaining on the tread wear indicators.

km 2360

Mileage is low owing to inclement weather.

Little new news to report.

km 2352

Mileage is down as time on the other bike is up.

Heard the term 'knockaround' bike in a Ontario cycling magazine. Must be the same thing as a 'beater' or 'rain' bike. All those terms certainly suit the SC1800.
